Conditions That Can Affect Your Skin If Not Cared For
There are a lot of things that can go wrong with your skin when you do not take good
care of it. To mention but a few, there is rashes, blisters, boils, acne, keratosis pilaris,
ringworm, athelete’s foot, and other fungal infections, microbial infections, sunburn,
calcinosis cutis, keloid, scabies, and the list goes on, virtually endless.
Rashes manifest as a change in the texture, color and appearance of your skin. Sometimes
the spots are just there to annoy you, but a lot of the time, they actually hurt and itch.
Soon enough, you can find your skin become bumpy and dry, as well as warm, cracked,
and blistered.
Blisters differ. They are a collection of certain fluids in your body under that topmost
layer of your skin. Sometimes the fluid is pus, and at other times it is blood. The pus
condition occurs when your skin is highly stressed, and the pus comes when your skin
definitely infected. It is never long before you develop boils to go.
Acne occurs when your skin changes structure. Many times it is natural, but several times
it is also caused by poor skin care habits. People call it pimples, spots or zits, but you
know what it is; it is the angry patches of redness that appear all over your face,
sometimes reaching to your neck and shoulders. Many often mistake it for chicken skin,
but that is something else entirely. Keratosis pilaris, also known as chicken skin, is the
swelling without the redness. It affects more of women than men.
When you allow your skin to get over exposed to sunlight, what you get is sunburn,
which is different from a tan; and when calcium deposits form on your skin, what you get
is calicinosis cutis.
Maybe you had been ignorant of all this before, but certainly seeing all ailments that
could assail your skin, you might want to begin to take better care, or would you not?
